Epitath for The Artist

Lệ Hà (1933-2012)             Oil on Canvas (120cmx120cm)

Shakespeare sonnet No.12
Epitaph for the artist*

Epitaph to think out of divine mercy
For the fine artist in my remembrance
The shooting star that my eyes have ever seen
When all is transient and will return to the sea

All is fading to be lost in the time flow
Your artworks in the colors of self living world
Will stay on to immortalize your name
And have an everlasting resonance

Bursting fire to enlighten the world darkness
Perennial flame to transcend human distress
Perhaps not yet now but all for the future

For the coming - very light of other shore
There will be in my lon' heart the monument
Heights of your life and creative moments

Shakespeare sonnet No.11

Lệ Hà (1933-2012)         Oil on canvas (1mx1m)

Shakespeare Sonnet
“Shall I Compare Thee To A Summers Day”*

You are “summers day”, the dream of my life
Forever as the sun that comes to shine
Along with fragrance of flowers in July
Shining over the sea and up in the blue sky

A fleeting image in the flow of time
Deep in my heart the memory of your smile
Perennial feeling albeit the changing world
Material things we endeared but could’nt hold

Fairy tal’ that I keep on dreaming to live
In Nature, its course to be untrimmed
The dance and songs of becoming friendly Death

Oh! In its shade I shall peacefully stay
For the eternity, with my sole belief
Your beauty won‘t fade away as “summers day

*The first line of  W.Shakespeare’s sonnet No.18
