Lonely soul in the Midnight
You were wearing red trousers
To be followed with desires
Or just a mirror or just a rose?

By the river weeping-willows
In fleeting spring and in autumn to break my heart
On what time-moment could I catch
Catch the trees and thousand branches yersteryear?

But the rose was riding off
On a white horse as the crescent-moon
To bid farewell to the midsummer-day

To bid farewell to the gardens
The clear spring of my memory
And the dried creek of my tender-years

Này cô! Tâm hồn nào đây
Cô mang quần hồng lặng lẽ trong đêm
Tôi dõi nhìn theo tràn đầy dục vọng
Một mảnh gương trong hay cánh hồng đào

Bến đò nước đợi hai hàng liễu rủ
Xuân tới rộn ràng mùa thu qua mau
Góc thời gian nào cho tôi nắm giữ
Những cây phượng đỏ giục giã vào hè

Nhưng bông hồng vội bỏ ra đi
Trên con ngựa trắng có ánh trăng soi
Giã biệt trưa hè đắm chìm trong nắng
Giã biệt vườn hoa
Con sông hiền vẫn nằm trong ký ức
Và khe suối cạn của tuổi đương thì

Sur un thème de Bui Giang

Comment va ton âme? L’inconnue de la nuit
Tu pourrais porter un pantalon de soie rose
A la traîne de tes pas, mon désir s’enfuit
Est-ce un miroir? Est-ce une tiède rose?

Mornes horizons, saules de l’autre rivage
Printemps qui déchire, l’automne de passage
Sur quel endroit du temps, vais-je mettre ma main
Grands arbres aux rameaux noirs de mon pays lointain?

Mais le rosier remonte à cheval et s’en va
La lune fait signe d’adieu au morose
Son midi vécu dans le songe au savoir las

Adieu au jardin et à la fleur éclose
Aux ruisseaux nostalgiques que j’aurais aimés
Les eaux innocentes des anciennes années!
