Yellow gravels on brown sailing boats
Past shadows under the eastern wind
Rippling waves through the history-mist

I’ll offer you gold-dust of memory
The time we lived in company of gods
The grace of Helen breaking heroes’heart
For the war and the end of Trojan dream

Rose-petals for the present pains
And the remainder of our living time
Fragile happiness to which we are subdued

Silence and whisper from the distant era
Will it be floating back in rays of hope

Anh mang em thỏi vàng từ biển cả
Bụi vàng trên những cánh buồm nâu
Bóng ngả nghiêng theo chiều gió lộng
Sóng dài lịch sử gợn trong sương mù

Anh dâng em hạt vàng của ký ức
Thời xưa tiên còn ở lẫn với người
Mỹ nhân hư ảo người hùng ngã ngựa
Sóng nước nghiêng thành cũng chỉ vì ai

Bông hồng cho nỗi đau hiện tại
Cho thời gian còn sống ở đời
Hạnh phúc mong manh như hàng lệ

Xa xôi vang động tiếng ngậm ngùi
Như còn đây những năm ước vọng

Des pétales merveils pour la présente peine
Pour tout le temps que doit continuer la vie
Et le frêle bonheur dans lequel on s’enchaîne

Murmure du silence et de la nostalgie
Du passé remontera-t-il une espérance
L’espérance de l’aube au delà de l’absence
